Traveling can be more fun and exciting if you have a travel buddy.  This is recommended, especially if you are the type of person who does not want to be alone.  In addition, your travel can be made more special and unforgettable if shared with someone you trust and someone you are comfortable with.   

Being with someone also gives you more confidence and peace of mind. There would be someone whom you can ask for opinions and help, especially when you feel disoriented and disorganized.  For these reasons, it is essential that when you choose a travel companion, it should be someone that you can go along well.  Below are some suggestions in choosing your travel companion. 

Be with the person whom you know well.  Most probably, you will be sharing in one room and you will go to the same spots and destinations together.  If you do not know your companion very well, you might end up feeling annoyed by your companion's actions and attitude.  If you know the person well, there is no need to take much effort for adjusting and understanding the other person.  Things will go well smoothly.

Be with the person who has the same interests and perspective with you.  Though it is possible to meet halfway, it is still better if you share almost the same interests and insights about people and things. If you have the same interests, it will be easier to decide among options and making plans will be easier as well.   

Be with the person prior to the travel.  If you have a prospective travel companion, it is better to give it a try first.  You may invite a group of friends, including that person so that you can observe the person, the person's habits and get to know as well. Remember that you can also consider going with your best friend, sibling or relative.
